Who We Are

The Global Leadership Network is a nonprofit that is raising up leaders around the world. We want to see leaders inspired and equipped, so they can lead transformation in their communities and around the world. 

Our signature event is The Global Leadership Summit, an annual gathering that brings ministry and marketplace expertise together. Dynamic speakers and key topics challenge you to grow and become a catalyst for change. And our mission goes beyond events with resources available year-round, and programs that inspire, equip, and connect pastors, church and business leaders, the next generation, the marginalized, and community leaders all over the world.

Since its inception, the GLS has been translated into as many as 60+ languages, reaching almost 130 countries and impacting more than one million people around the world, making it the longest-running, greatest-reaching leadership event of its kind!

David Ashcraft

CEO & President

David Ashcraft serves as the President and CEO of the Global Leadership Network (GLN), an organization at the forefront of global leadership development and in pursuit to serve more pastors, equip more churches, and inspire more leaders.  Previously, David served as the Pastor of LCBC (Lives Changed By Christ) Church in Manheim, Pennsylvania.  Under his leadership, LCBC grew from one location with a weekly attendance of 150 people to 19 locations across the state of Pennsylvania with a combined average weekly attendance of over 22,000. Additionally, David is the Founder and President of The Advantage, a leadership collaborative whose purpose is to mentor and encourage pastors across the country.  He is the author of “What Was I Thinking?” a book designed to help us make better decisions.  David also serves on the Board of Directors of the Global Leadership Network and the National Association of Evangelicals.

Chris Ordway

Executive Vice-President

As executive vice-president of the international division of the Global Leadership Network, Chris Ordway is a firm believer in the transformative power of great leadership. He has worked for three Fortune 500 firms and launched two non-profit initiatives, in sustainable agriculture and energy respectively. His experience working and living in many parts of the world, including the United States, Asia, Europe, and Africa, gives him a unique understanding of the complexities associated with operating in diverse environments. Most notably, Chris lead the Consumer Products Business Unit at Motorola and grew its revenue from $5 million to over $100 million in three years, before relocating to London to manage operations throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. Chris welcomed the opportunity to join the GLN in his current capacity in 2021, apart from also serving on several boards.

JanHendrik IJtsma

Vice-President

JanHendrik IJtsma is a visionary leader at the intersection of creativity, technology and faith. With a background in business administration and innovation, he has spent over two decades pioneering solutions in production, design and technical leadership within one of the largest churches in the Netherlands.

A longtime GLS producer since 2005, JanHendrik now serves on the Global Leadership Network’s International Executive Team, overseeing global operations. Known for his entrepreneurial mindset and passion for the local church, he brings a deep belief in the power of innovation to advance leadership and inspire lasting impact.

Aiming to serve and support international stakeholders, the operational team endeavours to enable partners to host experiences and offer products that would inspire more pastors, serve more churches and equip kingdom-minded leaders to ignite transformational impact wherever they are.

Ettienne Booysen

Director: Creative & Content Development

Ettienne Booysen is a storyteller, strategist and scholar passionate about sparking personal and organizational growth through inspired communication. With a career spanning churches, creative agencies and media production, he brings a unique blend of experience across sectors and cultures.

Since first encountering the Global Leadership Network in 1999, Ettienne has grown from local site producer in South Africa to global producer and now serves as Director of Creative & Content Development. A published author with a PhD in Organizational Behaviour, he draws on research, the arts and leadership insight to craft experiences that ignite transformation and hope.

Ashlyn S. Ochoa

Director: Global Partnerships & Strategic Impact

Ashlyn Slamans Ochoa is a communicator, connector, and champion of the local church. Since joining the Global Leadership Network in 2016, she has led year-round events, produced and hosted The Global Leadership Podcast, and supported both U.S. and international Summits with heart and excellence.

Now serving as Ministry Development Lead, Ashlyn brings deep ministry insight and a passion for relational impact to her global work. A devoted wife, mom, and creative at heart, she is committed to helping leaders thrive — wherever they’re planted.

Benjamin Feenstra

Director: Operations & Intelligence (Int.)

Benjamin Feenstra is a systems thinker and creative leader with a passion for innovation and impact. With a background in architecture and real estate development, he brings a unique blend of strategic insight and design thinking to his role as Ministry Intelligence Lead at the Global Leadership Network.

Benjamin began serving with GLS as a volunteer in 2007 and later became Regional Producer for Europe, helping to grow the Summit’s reach across the region. He has also led the creative and production team of a large church in the Netherlands. Today, he continues to shape the future of GLS through data-driven strategies, operational insight, and a deep commitment to empowering leaders worldwide.

Jen Garman

Lead: Events and Operations

Jen Garman is a detail-driven leader with a heart for creating intentional spaces where people feel seen, valued and open to transformation. With a background in admissions and events in higher education, she later spent nearly a decade on staff at LCBC Church, helping expand the GLS from one to eleven sites across Pennsylvania.

Her passion for the Summit led her to join the Global Leadership Network in 2021, where she now leads international projects and licensing relations. Jen is known for her ability to shape distraction-free environments that make space for growth — both personally and spiritually.

Cadu Polito

Lead: Ministry Product Support

Cadu Polito is a gifted communicator and producer with a passion for leadership development and storytelling. Beginning as an office assistant with Willow Creek Association Brazil, he quickly became a key player in expanding the Global Leadership Summit across the country.

With a degree in Communication and experience in both television and branded content production, Cadu has led creative projects for major organizations and Summit events. Since 2017, he has served as Regional Producer for Brazil through Envisionar and officially joined the GLNi team in 2023. A devoted husband and father of three, Cadu brings heart, excellence and a deep love for the local church to everything he does.

Chris Torres

Lead: Platforms and Translations

Chris Torres is a seasoned producer and technologist with over three decades of experience in music, video, and live event production. He has served as a video director, audio engineer, and technical leader in both church and commercial settings, helping bring world-class events to life.

Chris joined the Global Leadership Summit in 2007 as Technical Coordinator for the Philippines and became Regional Producer for Asia in 2014 — a role he continues to hold today. Now serving as Lead for Platforms & Translations, he brings a passion for excellence and accessibility, ensuring GLS content reaches and resonates across languages and cultures. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Chris is committed to creating moments that transform lives around the world.

Over 30 Years of Leadership Influence

Since our founding in 1992, the Global Leadership Network has reached across continents and countries, across business and not-for-profit sectors to those who are well developed and those who are underdeveloped, to those with great resources and those with little. From humble beginnings in small ways, we now have global reach and exclusively focus on leadership development.

Today we exist to serve across all sectors of society to impact the world.

History

  1. Our organization was founded.

  2. The first Leadership Summit was held in the suburbs of Chicago.

  3. Educational credit was offered for the first time.

  4. The Summit expanded to three locations (two satellite sites).

  5. Two sites in Canada were added.

  6. GLS expanded into nine new countries.

  7. GLS was hosted in four prisons.

  8. GLS Next Gen launched.

  9. The board begins conversations around a name change of the organization.

  10. On February 19, our name was officially changed to Global Leadership Network.

  11. Women Leaders Network launched in four countries.
